How to cite Canada Peptides reference standards
Methods sections work best when another lab can identify the exact material used. For a reference standard, the supplier name alone is not enough. A useful citation includes the molecule name, catalog ID, supplier, location, lot-specific COA where relevant, and a registry identifier when one has been issued.
Canonical citation format
[Reference standard name] ([SKU]; Canada Peptides Inc., Toronto, ON, Canada; RRID:SCR_XXXXXXX)
Use the RRID only after it has been assigned and resolves in the RRID portal. Until then, use the SKU and supplier line without an RRID.
Example
Semaglutide reference standard (CP-001; Canada Peptides Inc., Toronto, ON, Canada; RRID pending) was reconstituted according to the study protocol and verified against the lot Certificate of Analysis.
