Answers for research professionals
Sourcing, quality, shipping, and research-use questions we hear most often. If something is missing, contact our team.
What are Canadian Peptides reference standards used for? +
All materials are sold strictly for in-vitro research and reference characterisation. They are not drugs, supplements, foods or cosmetics, and are never to be administered to humans or animals.
Do you sell to individuals? +
We sell only to qualified research professionals, academic labs, and analytical facilities. Orders may be reviewed and refused at our discretion.
Where do you ship from? +
All orders ship cold-pack from a fulfilment lab in the Toronto, Ontario area, typically within one business day of order confirmation.
How much is shipping? +
Shipping inside Canada is free on orders over CAD $99; otherwise a flat $14.99 cold-pack rate. International rates are quoted by our team after order review.
How are reference standards verified? +
Every lot is sent to an independent third-party Canadian analytical lab for HPLC-MS confirmation of identity, purity and mass before release.
Where can I see the COA? +
Open the COA Library from the main menu. Each product page also links directly to its lot certificate, including HPLC chromatogram and mass spectrum.
What purity do you target? +
Our internal release spec is ≥98% by HPLC area. Median assay purity across the catalog is ≥99%, and the actual lot value is on each COA.
How are vials stored and shipped? +
Lyophilized vials are stoppered, crimped, and shipped with cold packs. Long-term storage is recommended at -20 °C in the original sealed vial.
How do I reconstitute a vial for in-vitro work? +
Use the on-site Reconstitution Calculator to get the solvent volume needed for your stock concentration. We recommend bacteriostatic water or DMSO as appropriate for the molecule.
Do you offer bulk or recurring lots? +
Yes — research groups can reserve specific lots and arrange recurring dispatch. Contact us with your assay and volume needs.
How is payment handled? +
We accept Interac e-Transfer from any Canadian bank. After you place an order you will get an email with your order ID and total — send the e-Transfer to vanshaj02@gmail.com with your order ID in the message field. Auto-deposit is enabled so no security question is needed. We ship within one business day of the transfer clearing. For international/wire payment, reply to the confirmation email. No card data is stored on this site.
Can I return or exchange an order? +
Lyophilized reference materials cannot be returned once the cold chain is broken. If a vial arrives damaged or out-of-spec, we replace or refund within 14 days of delivery.
Do you ship outside Canada? +
We ship internationally on a case-by-case basis, subject to local research-use regulations. Customs documentation lists material as in-vitro reference standard.
Are these materials approved by Health Canada or the FDA? +
No. Reference standards are not regulated as drugs or supplements. They are not approved for any human or veterinary use, and we make no clinical claims.
How do I contact a scientist on your team? +
Use the contact form and select Scientific question, or email the address on the contact page. Replies typically within one business day.
